Water Street Lift Station #1 and #2 Rehabilitation
Repeat client seeks Warren's coating system to stop active leaks and return lift stations to original condition
A repeat client selected Warren Environmental’s epoxy coating system to rehabilitate two lift stations in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Both were deteriorated due to the H2S gases present in the sewer system. The owner, their contractor (Robert B. Our Company), and Warren Environmental’s master applicator, A&W Coatings, developed a coating plan to return the lift stations to their original condition.
For lift station #1, the team determined that the surfaces above the waterline were deteriorated so they lined them with 400 mils of Warren 301-14. They lined the surfaces below the waterline with 250 mils. The A&W Coatings crew completed work and returned the lift station to service within three days. Average pull test values were over 1,600 psi on all surfaces.
For lift station #2, the team determined that all surfaces were significantly deteriorated and that it would require 250 mils of Warren 301-14 epoxy. Following surface preparation, the A&W Coatings team spent a full day stopping water infiltration stemming from active leaks. They chased leaks through multiple sections of walls with Warren’s 151-HG grout. In addition, the connective 5 LF of 12-inch ductile iron pipe was sanded and coated using a spray-in-place application technique. A&W was able to line this lift station and return it to service within three days. Average pull test values were over 950 psi.
